d.a.n.g

Dang is not the only word I want to say right now.
We've run into a few issues in the past few hours.
Cody said last week he would have his test and stuff all done by tomorrow and we would be out on our way. So I needed to clean the rest of the house, fix the walls, and just be finished and out of here. Well turns out Cody has more to do than expected so I wasn't rushed, until a few hours ago when I realized that I am having the power turned off TOMORROW!! So Here I am trying to do the most annoying part of the whole stupid old apartment and that is filling in the holes and painting the walls. It isn't going so hot. I think the best way to resolve this issue is just paint the whole stinkin place! But there is no way that will happen by us at least. So i'm just crossing my fingers hoping the paint will dry darker than it is showing right now and if not just telling my land lord she needs to paint. They should anyway, These places are gross.
I don't know how shutting off power works but I am hoping we will still have power until tomorrow morning at least! AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IN other news. Cody did fantastic on his presentation. :) Good job sweet! I will post some video I hope here pretty soon.
Also, we're flying out to Hawaii this Sunday. It doesn't feel like it yet though....

Anyway, back to work :p

Freedom!

Life is good!
I am done with work! I don't have a phone and I have little to think about.
Packing and cleaning are now the focus until we move and then got to HAWAII!
I am really liking the way I feel right now :) With the exception of having a cold, everything is going fantastic.

Thanksgiving break was a lot of fun! :) First we drove all the way to Washington with Cali cat and with Katy, my best friends younger sis! :) It wasn't a bad drive at all which I am really grateful for. The only down part of the trip was I gave Cali cat a sleeping pill which she fought the entire time and she was miserable and drugged the whole way. Poor thing :( I will never do that again. Cali cat is now living with my parents and they are getting used to the fact she is a solitary kitty and doesn't want attention unless she is getting food or unless it is 4 a.m. Murr fat (the other cat at my parents house) doesn't like the fact that a girl is in his territory. Luckily Murr is very social and Cali isn't so there isn't any fighting over people.

We hung out with my family from Friday night until Thursday morning. We went to see the new Harry Potter which I am VERY pleased with. They did a fantastic job! We went and did a little bit of shopping at Walmart. We Went out to eat at my favorite mexican restaurant, El Sombrero. Dad, Cody and Jake went shooting and had fun. I went to a play with Kami (my best friend) on her birthday! And the rest of the time we just relaxed which was really nice. Dad and mom got up at 5 a.m. to start cooking the turkey so Cody and I could leave Washington by noon to beat a winter storm. We at a delicious turkey feast at 11 a.m. and had to leave a little after noon. I was sad do go. But, hopefully I will get to go see them sometime soon! :) Jake has gotten really big and old. It is weird. :) He is a good brother and I am grateful for him :) :)

We drove to Boise and got to hang out with Cody's family Thursday night thru Monday. Katie and Sha (Cody's sisters) got to come up from school and hang out which was awesome! Us girls went to Kohls on black Friday and got a little shopping done. It was really fun to just hang out with them the whole time :)
We got to see our friends Jen and Chris! :) Chris had his birthday Saturday and his wife planned an awesome surprise party for him. It was really cool :) Cody and Chris got to go shooting and had a lot of fun! While we were enjoying our time in Boise we heard about blizzards and highways shutting down and we were worried that we wouldn't get home, (Not, we really wanted to stay actually) anyway we made it home safe on Monday.
---------- best week ever! :) ----------------

We found an apartment that looks very nice in Utah and is very close to the base! Cody will start work January 4th (we are assuming that is the 1st week of January, right?) We are moving all of our junk the 11th of December. I am very excited about the move. We are throwing out our 20+ year old bed that is really stinky next week. We will sleep on the air mattress until we get to Utah and find a bed. I am really excited about getting a new bed and having a fresh start so I bought this as a cover :) :) I think it is very cute.

Anyway. I am really excited about changes that are happening!!! :D
Cody's parents were really really nice and are letting us have their old video camera!! And in other good news I found our old camera! Now I need to take more photos! Cody has decided not to walk for graduate so we can leave Rexburg early and go hang out with friends in Boise before we go to Hawaii. We will have to take a lot of pictures of him in his cap and gown :) Yay Cody!!!!

I think this year is going to be full of a lot of good changes!!!!!

:D YAY 2011!!!

The stranger that made me cry

Today as I was driving home from the last day of this job EVER I saw an small accident with 2 cars. These cars were facing me across the intersection. The person who ran into the back of the van was someone who I immediately judged. She wore a puffy black jacket, she was older, fluffy hair, and smoking on a cigarette as she got out. I thought of her as one of the hardest of clients I might work with. As the light turned green and I drove closer, I saw the lady who was run into. She seemed pretty "normal". As I drove past and saw the lady smoking a cigarette and shaking, and watched the "normal" lady walk by and talk with her. I kept watching in my rear view mirror. I saw the "normal" lady not come around and yell or be angry or blame, but she put her arm around the offender to comfort her. I never in a million years would have thought to comfort the person who offended me and my vehicle. I thought immediately what an AMAZING woman. Such a wonderful Christ like example. And she made me cry. I am so grateful there are people like her who can be examples to me.

As a side note for apartment seekers

The room that is really messy is the 2nd bedroom. We are in the process of packing and I didn't feel like straightening it up for a picture :) :)
Also, the bedroom pictures, we have a king size bed. I think that might be important to know because it looks tiny because the bed is huge.

Good luck!

Ah! 2 weeks already gone by

So! I haven't been keeping up on the blog like I want to. Here is how it has gone so far.
I have gained .5 lbs :P I need to do more cardio.
Eating has bee much better still! I am really proud of myself :)
Something we have been eating a lot of is cabbage. It actually isn't too bad. We eat it in soup. Here is what I make - with some variation.

1 chicken breast cooked in a couple cups of chicken broth and water.
1/2 a cabbage chopped up in small bits
1/2 onion or just onion powder
celery
carrots
broccoli
salt and pepper

That's about it. It tastes pretty good. Luckily Cody loves cooked cabbage. I didn't think I would like it but I appreciate the chicken flavor with it. Today we added some brown rice, because unfortunately you get really hungry after eating this soup in a few hours.

As for everything else, we thought we were on track but we're not anymore. Loans have been "approved" but the school of course didn't have one of our documents, which we turned in 2 months ago, so we have to wait another 7 to 10 days to get the aid. Which blows, because we are leaving next Friday to go to Washington for thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving will be fun though :)
Picture this - no phone. NO PHONE! No potential phone calls, no worries about clients, because I am DONE WITH MY JOB as of November 19th!!!! YAY! Bitter sweet, but mostly sweet :) I am gonna be sad to say bye to coworkers and clients. The plus side, I have facebook for coworkers. :) But, this holiday will be great.

My best friends birthday is on the 20th! :) I am excited we will get to be there on her very special day! YAY KAMI!!!!

Also, the snow is here in Rexburg. It has begun.

I need to get a camera, I can't find the old one, so I can put picture so here!

I will be done with work very soon. We will go see my parents and Cali cat will be living with them from then on. After we visit my parents we will go to Boise to visit Cody's family! :D Pretty much the end of the month, will be the best day ever. What would make it even better...is we get these finances rollin. :P

Well! I have lost 0.8 lbs :) HAHA in a week. That is ok :) I'm gonna have to work harder :) At least I haven't gained!! Yay!
We are looking forward to having fun with our friends this weekend :) We're going to watch arachnophobia and eat stew and pumpkin rolls to celebrate Halloween!! :) yay!!

The fair. And Me whinning.

The fair went well. All Cody has to get through now is the security clearance!! :) That should go just fine, I am sure. Still it can be another few weeks.

I love to complain :) So here I go.
BYUI - although the tuition is great and what not, yada yada yada, they didn't let us have Cody's scholarship this semester because he was only taking 7 credits (Which is all he needs other than his internship) and that he would have to take another 5 bull crap credits in order to get the scholarship. Luckily, Cody's Mom helped us out. We are so grateful!!! So at that point when we found out for sure there was nothing we could do about getting the scholarship we applied for Loans. We have been waiting since mid-September to find out how long it would take, yada yada. Today we found out it was going to take a few more weeks. :( We only have a few more weeks of my job, and only like one week after I get back we have got to find housing, have a deposit, the months rent, and all that crap. I REALLY am praying that things will work out.

Last month I was bad :( We were really short on money, as I just said school loans weren't going through, so I didn't pay tithing. Nope, i'm not one of those awesome people that will do what it takes obviously. So. I made up for it and paid for last month and this month tithing as soon as I got paid. Well, It's no ones fault but mine that we still have no money, literally now. :( I don't want to do that again, because it was stupid and still we found ourselves in the same spot as we would have last month.

I was talking with Cody this morning and we were saying, what if we were this poor our entire lives? I can totally see how so many people just want to give up, live off the government, or just go crazy! Fortunately, Cody is extremely smart he'll be able to get a job, even if he hates it, to support us. So that will never happen :)

On a positive note, food storage has been pretty good! I still suck at making beans from scratch, but I can make a good Chili from canned beans. I found this recipe on the biggest loser called "docs chili" its yummy. We had it yesterday and today. Delicious! I suggest you try it :

Here is how we did it (this is not the exact recipe from the biggest loser, but it was still yummy)
1 can of pinto beans drained
1 can of kidney beans drained
1 1/2 cup of chicken broth
1 lb or less of ground beef or turkey (we used beef)
1 tbs of dried oregano
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of ground cumin
1 tsp or a little more of mustard
1 onion

In a big soup pan You chop up your onion and cook till it is translucent. Add your meat, break it up, and cook. Add your chicken broth. Add your beans. Add the spices. Simmer about 20 minutes and then eat! We put some dried cilantro on top, it was good too. You can put olives at the end as well.

I am grateful for beans and that Cody doesn't mind chili :) I love kidney beans too. There is something about their texture that I like.
So that was a pretty cheap, low calorie, yummy flavored chili :) I usually put like tomato sauce and stuff but I liked how simple and light this tasted.
We also got this thing of biscuit mix. We like to eat it with grandmas jelly. Yum-o.

My weakness is Wendy's chicken nuggets right now :( I should not get them. but I have. And that is bad bad bad.

The year before last our sister Sha made us a date night kit with a movie and some kettle corn popcorn. She sparked our liking for that popcorn. It is SO good! It was on sale at albertsons a while ago and I bought a whole bunch. We really like to eat that for desert.

So here are things I need to pray for:
That my land lord will keep her word about December rent. She sounded doubtful :(
That loans will come through in time for us to move.
That we wont have some kind of freak problem with the car.
That Cody's security clearance will go through quickly.
That I can not go crazy from thinking to much about things I cannot control! GRR!
That I can keep up my little goals.

Something that I am really struggling with but trying hard to do is not beg Heavenly Father to give me answers now. I REALLY want to. But I have been trying to "gratitude" prayers only as much as possible, unless I feel like I am gonna blow up.
I am very humbled.

GOOD NEWS though! SO! Since work has been a lot slower I have had a LOT more time to clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D My house isn't nearly as dirty as often as it usually is when work is really busy and I don't get home to late! I think that is one nice thing. I don't hate my apartment right now and it is because I am keeping up on keeping it clean! I don't have work today so I am cleaning! YAY! That is one less thing to stress about :) :) :) :) :) yay.

And I get to carve pumpkins with the neighbors this weekend. :) We went to a pumpkin patch and got excellent deals. :) :) :)

Ok- well thats enough from me for today. As most people can see if they check blogs, I'm at a venting point, typing in a blog is so much easier that journaling HAHA

We been waiting for this day for about 6 weeks. I am really really really hoping today goes well. Wish Cody luck! I'll update it if there is good news.

5 down

So! Cody and I have been working out together still even though we can't go to my gym. We have been doing the 30 day shred for 2 weeks and have changed our eating habits a lot over the past 3 weeks. We've also been doing 8 minute abs for almost 3 weeks.

One thing I am proud of right now is i'm not living off cheese. Cheese is my favorite food, and unfortunately, I like it too much. We have been "cutting the cheese" out, except cottage cheese, with very few exceptions or 'treats'. I haven't had a regular pop for a while, and I haven't had a diet pop for over a week. My craving for pop has gone way down.

French fries, I love them too. When given the choice, I've had french fries 2 times out of 10. :)

Portions, they are smaller. I still kind of feel hungry but I think that is due to stress or being bored, and obviously, poor eating habits.

I've lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, which to me is pretty good, and last week I didn't even try my hardest. Since this is kind of a journal for all my friends to see.....I am using this blog as motivation to get to my goal of at least 130 lbs. I'm 142 today, and I want to meet my goal by December.

We've been weighing ourselves every Monday for the past 3 weeks, I bought a scale (we've never had one), and so far Cody has lost 8 lbs!! :D

We can't see a difference, but I think that is where the scale is helpful. I have a picture we took at my sister-in-laws high school graduation that is motivating met to LOOSE WEIGHT. I don't want not look like that any more!

SO! The other goal is to update my blog at least every Monday on my progress. I am hoping the same of not meeting my goals will motivate me too. I can use all the motivation I can get!!!

JUST IN!

Just in!!

Cody and I were going to stay in Rexburg for thanksgiving week and work work work (my job and maybe pick up a few hours of dispatch here and there).
SO - Cody decided, hey, why don't we just go see our families for thanksgiving! :D We have to bring up Cali - cat to Washington sometime because my family has decided to adopt her since we cannot take her to Utah without paying hundreds of dollars just to keep her there. SO! We were going to try and go up this month some time but it just doesn't look like it will fit.
The BIG thing about this is....I am going to be finished with work the Friday before Thanksgiving! I figure, it's not fair to my kiddos that I work with nor the new person who will be taking over my case load to take off a week and only come back for a few days. THINGS ARE HAPPENING!!!!
Also - Cody is talking to the lady at the Hill Air Force base more today! YAY YAY YAY!
After we made the decision, it just looked perfect :) Sure, a little less money, but we get to see my family :) and we get to see Cody's family, and we get to enjoy Cody's last few weeks of undergraduate school!!! Not to mention, cleaning, painting, packing, and moving.... whew.
We have a bunch of stuff already planned:
1. Drive CaliCat up ALL THE way through to Washington (10 hours)... we're gonna have to drug her so she can sleep most of the time. Not that she doesn't sleep about 10 hours anyway!
2. Take Jake to Merchants! My lil bro and I have a tradition when I come visit we ALWAYS go to merchants, get a bowl of stew, and drink bottled root beer.
3. See Kami! Her birthday is on the 20th so I'll get to say happy birthday (maybe a day late) in PERSON! :D
4. Go shooting! Dad got a new gun, I have my little .22 and Cody has his guns! :D it will be a BLAST!
5. Eat thanksgiving lunch with my family! :D
6. Right after lunch drive to Boise and spend tell Monday with Cody's family! We are so happy that it is working out just perfect! Katie and Sha will be there on Thursday as well! It works out perfect!!!
7. See sunny the sweet Golden Retriever, Annie the little wiener dog, and precious the cross eyed Siamese kitty!!
8. Maybe, if the girls are up for it, go on a little after thanksgiving shopping trip!

And much much more!! :D

I'm pretty excited to move on with life out of Rexburg here in just weeks!!! I was really thinking today how grateful I am that we were here NOW and I got the job where I am at NOW before all these state changes happen. My office pretty much is awesome and I'm really grateful that they let me work there. I've been brainstorming thank you letters to my head honchos. It really has been great....but I am SO excited to move along! :)

LGBT - not the only trial

I keep reading about how people are angry about what Pres. Packer said. My question is, how much does anyone really know why people become Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual (LGBT)?
From my experience, doing social work, reading studies, ect. it seems that many people who I have met that are LGBT have experienced some form of sexual abuse, neglect, or some other need unfulfilled at a crucial point in their life. These events that did not meet their needs led them to question many different things in life. What I've noticed from the people who I have asked, many who have same sex attraction experienced some kind of negative emotional/traumatic situation which triggers these feelings of sexual confusion or aggravates questions about sexuality. Rebellion, I've also noticed, is another influence why some people choose to become LGBT. Family experience, plays a major role. This is why the church preaches SO much on why family is so important. Might I add, that other trials result from sexual abuse, neglect, and other unfulfilled need such as; pornography, drug addiction, self esteem issues, engaging in promiscuous sex, and MANY other issues.

Keep in mind, I am NOT saying that just because someone has had a bad experience means that there is always an extreme outcome.
If there were only 2 things I could rid from this world it would be sexual predators and drugs. We find these issues in every religion, race, gender, and culture.
I'm not saying that people who are LGBT are weak or entirely victimized. I also do not claim to be an expert on this topic. I think what i'm trying to say is stop getting on Pres. Packers back. He is trying to say there IS hope for anyone who practices anything contrary to any of commandments of God.

progress on motivation

So! After I made my motivation post I've been making some changes. I've been stalking everyone's blogs about things they've been up to and what not and i've gotten some helpful ideas that i've been trying to put into action to help me feel better about myself and everything going on. I, as most everyone knows, worry about a lot of things and stress really gets me down. Luckily, I have some pretty wise friends and family. :) Kayleen had a good point about starting with one thing at a time. I focus on way too much at a time and waste my time and energy on worrying about it. So! I've been doing what she said and it has been helping. I also have been rewarding myself more, and not with yummy treats. So that has been good :) I've been working harder on eating better food and less calories. I'm actually keeping track of them and feeling better. I found a really good deal on a scale that measures body fat, water %, weight (duh), and muscle mass. It is a pretty fun tool and it is keeping me motivated to eat better even when I really want pepperoni pan pizza and hot fudge banana sundae (ugh). Oksana had some good ideas, she said she has been doing this 8 minute ab work out thing every day! I decided I want to do that too. I like doing crunches so i've started those back up again. When I did dance we had this crunches routine to a matrix song that was about 7.50 minutes long. It is nice to have good examples! :)
Also - we had a happy mistake happen this week. The first week of Aug. Cody and I had tried to upgrade my gym membership so that he could come with me to the gym and all that good stuff for $15 more a month. We thought that's great! It was really fun to go together and we thought all was well. Just the other morning, and I'm not sure why it was never seen until now, they said there was something wrong and we were only being charged the minimum fee for one person going to the gym. I showed them my bank records that had the charge where I paid a lot extra just to upgrade my membership. They said they couldn't find anything where I had been charged that or upgraded at all. Then they presented me with a contract which I had not seen before to officially upgrade - yada yada. SO I learned at that point to upgrade would have been a year long contract that could be broken if you pay an additional $60! This would have been a major waste of money because we are moving and finishing everything up The first and second week of December. SO - I said now, avoided a contract, learned how to cancel the membership by December so I don't get charged (Which takes 30 days). The down side is Cody can't come to the gym with me :(. So, now i'll just take him to byu-i gym and i'll go to mine.
Also - Reading scriptures and praying has improved a lot this week so far :) yay!!! That is a goal that has been nagging at me and it feels good to meet!!
Anywho - I don't have anything to do but clean today so I guess I had better get crackin.
Thank you friends for your good examples :) :)

Motivation?

I've been thinking a lot about where I should be at vs. where I am at. Right now I am thinking about the things I need to do today. These are a few goals I'm not really achieving yet:

1. Lose about 20 lbs.
2. Eat better.
3. Save money.
4. Clean
5. Read my scriptures, pray, and go to the temple.
6. Do well in my job.
7. Being happy with where I am at right now.

Right now, I am not where I want to be at. So then I wonder, well which goal is more important? I know realistically, I cannot save money right now, however much I'd like to. So....I can kick that one out.

Realistically, I really should be putting number 5 first. But - am I? No. I should start today.
I am working on number 1. That is going to take some time.
I did some dishes today. So...maybe number 4 is like an eighth of the way done.
I always do well in my job I think ..... so i'm fine there :)
And being happy with where I am at right now? If I could get my mind to stick to the NOW that would be good.

For some reason I've been un-reasonably tired mentally lately, and physically sore. I'm hoping once I can get things into the right order and muster up some motivation, I'll start to feel more balanced.

How do you balance your goals?? I could use some ideas. I found out the way to comment on my stuff is to click on the post title and it will come up with a comment page.

Thanks friends! :)

I can't find a count down. And we're expecting old chicken wings in the mail.

For about 6 months (ok.. more than 6 months...) I've been freaking out like a chicken with it's head cut off about the future. Every day I pester Cody and ask WHAT the heck are we doing?! Well - things are looking a little more clear....but now it is just time. 4 weeks ago, we expected to hear from Micron in Boise. We were sure that because of Cody's experience, grades, and over all good looks .... he would get an internship. Like I said, it has been four weeks. That is a big fat NO need for interns right now!
SO, after pestering Cody AGAIN, I got him to email and call Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Our reply is "we are very interested" in having Cody work starting January for his internship. This is a good sign. I suppose after all the worrying and lack of internship I should be happy. I am happy. But also very sad. When I read the email I did get that burning in the throat problem associated with crying. My thoughts in this order 1. Bye Bye Boise. 2. Bye bye family. 4. Bye bye Friends 3. Bye bye Jake (I really wanted to move closer so we could bother my brother Jake more often. We miss him a lot.) We wont hear anything more for a little while because the guy who is in charge is off to Disney Land! Lucky man.
I've accepted the possibility that Utah is where we might be living for the next 5 years or more, Depending on the internship. If Cody likes it, we've decided getting a job is a priority. :) Smart thinking, right? hahaha.
Now is the waiting game. I am the kind of anxious person that gets all jittery with change or challenges. This is how the rest of the year looks like in my freaking out eyes.
_Work my butt off September, October, November.
_Make sure I have an apartment lined up for us in Utah ready for move in December.
_Find an apartment that allows cats. (this is a huge challenge.... I've looked. They are all an extra $300 more for a "deposit" which I doubt we could get back....ugh)
_Get everything moved out because we're going to Hawaii for Christmas! I think we are going right after Cody is done with school. I may be moving stuff down without him. Thank goodness we have family down there :) (I will be calling on you for help by the way.....)
_Litter Train Cali cat. (right now she waits by the door and goes outside to do her business. She has never had an "accident" in our place - except when we left her inside for over 12 hours....
_Worry about Housing.
_Worry about Cali Cat
_Worry about moving
_Worry ... Worry... Worry.

These are the super up sides about Utah :)
1. Katie and Sha live in Logan now!!!!! :D We can go see them!
2. Cody's parents can visit all of us in one shot!
3. Chik-fil-a is in Ogden (yuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm - o)
4. My 2 of my auntie's live in Utah and my Granna lives down there too!
5. I like the mountains.
6. Hill is close to the only place in Utah I am familiar with.
7. I am sure there are more....

I really am considering making a countdown chain to watch the days go away until we get to move out of Rexburg.

As for the chicken wings. We left some on Katie's car as a going away present in Logan......I think they sat there for a day before she found them :) It sounds like we may be getting a gift in the mail from her soon.....

looking too far into the future....oh well!

I've been thinking a lot about AFTER December lately. It might be because it's supposed to snow tomorrow and it snowed a little yesterday that I can justify this. December is a big deal this year. I am STOKED. First off - Cody will be finished with all of his classes at BYU-I. This means all he has left is an internship!!! He and I were trying to figure out finances and future stuff today and this is what we have so far (this changes weekly - sorry :) ) As of this morning, Cody will apply for an internship at Micron in Boise. He's worked there before and it helps that his Dad works there. If he gets the internship then I will start applying for jobs at the end of October. The only little bump in the road, which is awesome :), is the fact we're going to Hawaii for Christmas! Cody's grandparents have a time share or something like that down there and Cody's parents got us plane tickets. That is our Christmas/Birthday presents for maybe the next 2 years? ;) haha. So - we'll be down there for a week. After that we're free to go. My concern would be if I got a job offer they wouldn't hire me because of the trip....I guess we will see! Cody's internship will last until April and then he is officially a college graduate! Cody really wants to work for Boise City police deparment but they are currently not hiring. SO - we were thinking well we might as well stay at Micron until they do start hiring? In the mean time I will be working, preferably a job that is not PSR....but if there is absolutely nothing else I can do I will do that again. Because we would both be working...maybe we could buy a house!!!!!!!! I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaally excited about that. AND I am going to have health insurance .... somehow....and maybe we can have a little one!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! I think we're going to have to have a girl first because the only names we can agree on are girl names :) haha. Anyway - too far ahead, but exciting to think about none the less.

Reality Check - crap style

So I've had time to think and clean and think and clean for a little bit today and it's been nice. The only down fall is when I get to do this I become a little to pessimistic about life and people.
There is a fantastic analogy that I've learned since doing social work. Here it is: A person goes outside and sees a huge big fat stinky pile of cow crap..they take a shovel.......flick the crap straight up in the air.......they don't look up......the crap falls on top of them......and they wonder WHO DID THAT?! Clearly - that person is refusing to recognize their role in why they stink and are covered in nice warm poo.
Now, I've definitely showered myself in this mess before ...... blamed others for my stupid choices.... asked "Why me?" ....and so on and so forth...but I'd like to think I've learned a tiny bit from it - and that I've learned a lot of these seemingly common sense things in years previous. What I'm feeling annoyed about is how truly naive people can be about the way the world is and what they're doing to make it rough for themselves? How is it that there are people still being showered in smelly glory and they are getting married, have kids, or just old enough to figure out most common sense problems and resolving them?
FOR example - the "deserving" people. I really am bothered by people who feel like they are entitled for things to go their way when they want it to - RIGHT NOW - and get upset when it doesn't. It's not that often that we have NO idea what is going to happen if we add A and B together. Usually we know what C might be and we prepare for it. But no - the deserving choose to look over reality and then complain about it until they DO get their way (grr) or they give up and expect everyone to feel bad for them. Now i'm not bashing everyone. Everyone at one point feels like they are deserving, but when it is a pervasive issue that just boils my blood.
So - to finish my rant, look up. If you plan on shoveling poop any time soon decide before hand what you're going to do - if you MUST throw the crap straight up in the air PLEASE be prepared to step aside, no you're not in a special bubble. Hopefully your well thought through decision will save you from looking and smelling foolish - and instead of being deserving you'll learn what being responsible is.

Tribute to Family

SO I've been thinkin a lot about my family and how much they frikin ROCK! Starting off....Cody couldn't be more awesome. I am SO blessed to have him as my husband forever! :) I really appreciate our marriage. We're only almost at 2 years...but it's been great. The first months of our marriage were kind of rough, as expected, not the 'not loving' but the whole adjusting and having to make real plans together and stuff. It was rough. But we've grown a lot from it. I love you Cody :) You're the best. We're still learning but it's still so comforting to know I feel so good about me and him. :) yay! Cody is for sure my best friend and I know he'll stay that way. Thick and thin. No money...or .... no money. hahaha :)

Second - My brother Jacob. I can still remember my mom telling me that I was going to have a little sibling. Jake didn't come around until I was 9 years old! I didn't think I would get to have any brothers or sisters. The day Jake was born I couldn't handle the excitement. My dad had to drag me across the hospital parking lot because it was so icy and I was so excited I couldn't stop laughing. :) Then I got to see Jake. I got my brother that I always wanted.

Jake is pretty much the coolest kid on the block. I admire how funny and silly his is, how smart he is, and how he's just a good kid all around. I'm so proud to have him as my brother :) Jake you rock. Love ya bub.

My Ma and Pa. Man I gave them a lot of crap. I really do appreciate them though. I was just thinking yesterday man, i'm so glad my mom taught me how to clean. And i'm so glad both of them got on me about keeping it up best I can. My mom took me to dance everyday. She would encourage me to do things I was too afraid to do on my own. I appreciate her for that. Love you Ma. And Pa, he took me to do things I wouldn't have ever done without him that I think are some of the funniest memories. Primarily motorcycle rides where he would drive and I would just scream because it was so fast, I was having fun, but i was also terrified. HAHA He let me go hunting and I felt so special to be cool enough to go with him :) Thanks Pa. I love you. I couldn't be the person I am today without the both of you together. I love you so much. Here we are at Green Tree court in Richland WA, I was like 5 or 6 I think. Mom is the red sweater and dad, well he's the only guy here. hahaha. On the right is my awesome auntie Nini! (Janine) I'll talk about them soon.

My In-Laws, Shelley and Kelly Killpack. You already know they are awesome because they are Killpacks. :) SO My mother in law is awesome. She took me in and accepted me from day one. I think she is one of the most down to earth accepting and loving people I have ever met. I am EXTREMELY lucky to call Shelly my mother in law. And Kelly. He's halarious. I wasn't sure what to think when I first met him because he just doesn't talk a lot. Kinda like my dad! But I think that almost everything that comes out of his mouth is hilarious. He has the sense of humor that I have always wanted and am trying to learn how to be like. He and Shelley gave me a hug when I met them. At first it was a shock, I don't hug people much. But now I really look forward to it no matter how strange and awkward I might be! I know how Cody became so awesome. Its because of them. Mom and Pa Killpack, I love you guys!!

Katie Killpack. Miss Katie is so gorgeous. So is Shalee but i'll brag about her in a minute. Before I had the guts to really hang out with Cody I noticed this girl kept coming up and talking to him. I was thinking, darn, she wins, she is sooo pretty. Turns out, lucky me, It was Katie! And she was talking to them because she's Cody's sister! Katie has always been frikin' beautiful and sweet. She was my neighbor while Cody and I were dating. Katie is so down to earth as well. She was so nice to me and fun. Katie has brains too. She is moving on to her masters degree here pretty quick and I am in awe about how motivated and charismatic she is. Katie I love you! I'm so happy I get to have a sister that is so cool to be around!!!

Sha!!!!!!!! Yet another AWESOME sister all for MEEEEE!! Sha is another one of those people that I feel so privileged to be sisters with. She is so accomplished and she's not even 20. She is also gorgeous. Things I love about Sha is she is real. She has the opportunity to be better than everyone else because she is so smart and so pretty but she chooses to be a real down to earth person. She is so easy to talk with. I really enjoy her mannerisms, yes they are all good, some of my favorite is her quoting voice when she quizzes Cody on quotes. I find my self doing the same thing because I like it so much. Cody and I have stolen it from you Sha, because you rock. HAHA! :)Sha I love you. I'm one lucky sister.
Katie is on the left and Sha is on the right.

My aunties!!! I don't have enough time to blog about them right now because I have to go to work but.........Auntie Niecei, Auntie Nini, Auntie Cher, and Auntie Terry along with all my cousins are so awesome and I have so many memories that I enjoy :) I will get to share them soon!!!!!!!!!

I love all of you so much.
I'm blessed :)
