FISHING! :)
Well our neighbors are really cool and they demanded that Cody go fishing with them. Cody does not like going fishing so I think this was a first small step towards conversion. :) The first two pictures are of the fish I caught. :)

4th of July :)
Well yesterday was a fun day! I didn't have any work so we played all day. First thing we did was watch the parade get ready on the street that our apt. is on. We watched all the different floats and things drive by. They even passed out chocolate milk!!!! It was very fun and exciting. Then we went to Josh and Courtneys for a few minutes. After that Cody and I went to get fire works! We bought 4 fire works and got 6 more free! It was a good deal :) a total of $10.60 I believe. We almost bought one of those big packs...i'm glad we didn't. We went to Grandma Killpacks house in Idaho Falls to hang out with Cody's aunts, uncles and cousins. While Cody, Josh, and I were eating outside, Cody's uncle Kurt threw a M-80 in the back yard and it exploded. It was awesome!! You could feel the blast wave. It was cool. When we finished eating sloppy joes and potato salad we went out to the middle of no where and blew up a refrigerator and a dishwasher. I have never seen anything blow up before. It was intense. HAHAHA. It was halarious!!! When we were all done we came back to grandmas for a while before going to a spot which Josh and Courtney picked up along the river in Idaho Falls. I took a bunch of pictures of the fire works! Yay! it was fun.

Long time no post!
Okey! So I haven't posted anything for a long while :) I guess there hasn't been anything going on! As usually, I am covering dispatch and have found to much time with access to a computer...and BAM I write a post! :)
There are only 2.5 weeks of school for Cody :) He's been working his butt off. He (and I) are very excited for him to be done for this semester. Currently he is getting all A's....except MAYBE one class but it is not his fault :) Its one of those really difficult teachers that don't like seeing A's :) He might still get it though!!! I'm really glad that he is such a hard worker!!! :)
We're excited for this weekend!!! Well - early weekend for Cody! YAY! He has Thursday and Friday off! YAY! We don't have any big plans. I think its good for him to take a break and not worry for a little bit. We'll for sure eat something BBQ'd. It's Cody's Mom's birthday on the 4th! It's also Grandma Killpacks birthday on the 4th! What a patriotic family! :)
Cody lets me decorate on holidays.... I bought a big american flag and a cute little wood pannel thing that says America and one of those stars that have red white and blue on it. Our living room is pretty :) I should take a picture and load it....but....I'm sure I wont. :)
I'm doing the same old thing. I'm still doing PSR....the work is good as in working with people - usually....my agency is good.......the new medicaid rules for us being paid SUCK!!! SO...that is my venting to the world.....bleh.
Anywho- in general things are pretty good :) I guess all I can do is be greatful.

CHILDRENS
I haven't blogged for a while but now I have time because i'm doing 12 hours of dispatch! YAY.
Nothing is new by the way.
I just want to whine about children! Little smelly cute things that run around and cry all day..those things. Lots of people have them. I want one too! BAH! I have dreams about being jealous of other people having kids. Now if I am 100% honest with myself, I know i'm in a pretty good spot without a kid and with Cody in school and with me working...and if we did have a kid...that would get a little off. But...they're just so fun and crazy! Little babies are cute, yeah...but they're really fun when they get older and you can talk and they can talk back. That means waiting even longer for that to start. I can't even get an animal! :( The stray cat...Cali cat....has worms so I can't bring her in anymore. poor thing. I can't wait to be free of college kid-itis and have animals and kids and move on! :) I guess there are a lot of things to look forward to :)easter egg hunts...easter dresses....easter bunnies.....candy..... :)

Old lady pants
The other day I went to JCPenny to use a gift card Cody got me for christmas. I needed to find some new jeans...so I went to the junior section...because thats what i'm used to. Well...all the jeans I tried on looked awful.....mostly because of the very low ride pants. So..I decided it was time to shop in the Womens section. I was pretty sad at first...I tried Levi, St johnsbay, and some other brand - all of which looked old lady-ish. Anyway-- still no luck in an ok looking pant. I was pretty depressed and felt like there was no section for me! But then...I did discover the Misses Jean section, (a little table of jeans in the womens section). I did find a good pair that were not super low...and not boring looking. Yay for Misses section! Designed for those with love handles and G's.

GOIN TO WASHINGTON!
My good buddy Travis Severe is getting married to Darci, the girl who caught my boquet in Washington! :) YAY! :) I'm really excited. Um...I need to blog more. But...my internet has been dumb and wont load stuff. So now we fixed it :)
Anything new? Not really.
Have you ever wanted to say something to someone that you respect and care about but feel like what you say wont be accepted? Especially when you're concerned about the way they're thinking? I wonder how one would respond...

Ballet - my very first love.

Well - When I posted on facebook the 21 randomthings about me I mentioned ballet. Ever since I keep thinking about it. I really really really believe it is the most beautiful thing in the world. I got to talk to Cody a little bit about what I loved about it but ... well he's a guy. So I figured :) I'm going to write about it on here.
First things first. I learned ballet at The tri-cities acadamy of ballet aka Mid columbia regional ballet. Beautiful. Debora Rogo and Diana Howard were my main instructors. Can I just say how greatful I am that they were my instructors. For those of you who don't know much about ballet, it can be pretty spendy. Debora is the owner of the company, and she let me dance with discount to my tuition and I think at one point no tuition. She was so understanding of our financial situation. I am so glad she had a beautiful heart and let me keep the one thing I loved so very much at that time. If she hadn't I would have had to stop because of financial problems.
The dance studio was my second home clear up until I was 13 or so. The girls that I danced with were AWESOME. Beautiful. I found some of them on facebook, and I saw some of their pictures, and I think they are so amazing! There were a lot of good times. Unfortunatley, I was pretty shy some of the time, I may not have acted shy all the time but I really felt shy and that I didn't fit in as I grew up with these girls dancing. Sometime I wish would have been different was my selfesteem as a child.
I was in the Nutcracker each year from when I was 8 - 13 years old. That was the highlight of my year. There is this make up powder that was used all the time, and the smell triggers the feelings I had while waiting for performance and rehersals. I was an ice fairy, a blossom, a rat, an arabian, chinese, bon bon, a fairy...and thats it I think. Soooo much fun! I Loved it! :) My favorite part was watching the dancers who were in the company in their parts. My FAVORITE ones to watch were the Spanish hot chocolate and the Snow flakes.
When we moved to Walla Walla we drove back and forth from dance in order for me to keep up. After a year of that, we could'nt keep doing it and I didn't dance for another year or so. Then I finally started up again with the Walla Walla dance center with Idalee Hutsonfish. She was a lot of fun and very different than what we did in dance at the tri-cities. She was a blessing as well. She let me dance for little tuition at the begining, then at the end, we traded and I taught some dance classes for my tution and was an assistant for others. She was tons of fun as well! I still really missed my old studio. I was really up and down with my technique and willingness to work. As I got older and went through a lot of changes I found out that I had Scoliosis which affected my balance because my neck is actually striaght and on its way to curving forward (ew.), hips, and knees. The best I was able to dance was when I was able to go the chiropracter and that helped SO MUCH! I was able to balance, do multiple turns that I had never been able to do before! I wish I would have known what was up and why no matter how hard a tried i couldn't do many things.
While I was on facebook today I did a little bit of stalking.....whoops. I know. But there are a lot of girls who are linked to other people I know who I've danced with that have pictures of them dancing. They are BEAUTIFUL! It is so awesome to see some of these younger girls who were just little little to me doing amazing things! I do, in a way, envy them. Not only are they skinny, strong, and flexible, but they're confident in what they do. I can't say that I haven't done anything well with dance. I learned a TON on what to look for technique wise from Debora, and i've applied that in my teaching and helping out in dance classes. Even though I myself have not been able to perform the best technique, I can see it and manipulate others bodies to help them be in the correct shape. My favorite students - Yes I had favorites - were ones who wanted to use the corrections I gave them and try better and they looked 10 times better than the others who were there just because. They worked their butts off. It was really hard, in Walla Walla, to find many who had that drive to be good at ballet. I felt like many of them were taking it so they could excel in Jazz, which is great of course...but I just love ballet technique. Seeing these other girls I used to dance with are great at both.
Half of me wants to get up and try again. The other half remembers how much work and time it takes to get into it. I need a hobby though. I'm afraid to do it by myself. I don't have the resources anymore. I am not in college anymore so I can't really use their studio, nor do I have the time. When I first came up to college I started taking a class 2 times a week to just sort of get back into the groove. I was EXHAUSTED. I couldn't do HALF the things I could before. The begining exercises made me shake and sweat like crazy. Then up here I was also teaching some technique classes at a little dance shop here, just so they could do better with jazz/modern...but mostly creative dance for younger kids. I tell you what - they hated technique. I don't blame them really....because it wasn't drilled into their brains that technique is that gets your butt somewhere.
I have a couple favorite experiences. My first one was something I anticipated for YEARS...my first pair of point shoes! :) MAN I loved them. They were PINK...unlike some of the other brands. My foot was really skinny and didn't fit into the Block brand. So this pair was pink. My first time getting fitted for point shoes was so exciting! Gaye and Debora were there to help us and check and make sure they were good. Then they taught us how to sew on the ribons. IT was awesome! I think I still have them in my time capsul somewhere. Anyway - when we started training using our point shoes, it was my favorite. I loved to dance en point. But - I admit i hated turning on point... I didn't find out until later that that was because of my screwed up balance and I did fine later after I had a some therapy with my neck. Anyway - I remember in class practicing some different kind of jumps (i don't know how to spell them....sote's, this one you jumped on one foot and the other was pointed behind your ankle...) anyway - in point shoes sometimes its hard to jump. But- with my pink shoes I could jump very well! They had me demonstrate and i felt so happy! :) :)
Another memory - I was in summer dance labs and we had a male instructor teach us. I believe his name was Robert. He was a fantastiac dancer, very funny, but honestly I was TERRIFIED of him at first. I worked SO DANG HARD so that I wouldn't have to be corrected by him. Anyway - as I was working hard, I think i must have been doing ok, because he asked me to demonstrate an grand randejam --- who knows how to spell it? and i'm not even sure if thats the right term.. I can't believe its been 2 years since i've danced..anyways...doing that where your leg is at a 90 degree angle to your hips up in the air and you carry it from front to side to back and then lower it. He was happy that my butt was tight and that i didn't drop it. I was happy about that, but still, terrified.
I had private lessons from Whitney Similar who later became a professional dancer with a company in California. My counselor in high school knew her and told me some stories of when Whitney was younger and dancing and some of the self esteem struggles she had the same as I did. Although, I was NEVER near as good a dancer a she. :)
One of my favorite past times with the girls in tricities was we'd get in a big train while waiting for rehearsal or class and give shoulder rubs or 'tickle' each others backs ...that sounds wierd to write, but it was just what we did when we were bored.
I have dreams every couple months that i'm still in ballet, or that I went back to ballet to study in tricities and I suck each time. its disappointing! HAHA. But i still see the same people and the same teachers.
Anyway - i've written enough I guess. :) I just miss dance. I think its beautiful. I wish i had the energy, resources, and drive to do something about it. I guess its a fun memory to have though :)

WE HAVE INTERNET!!
YESS! Cody and I decided to go get some internet for our house today!! :) There were a lot of reasons for this. First - we haven't had internet at home since Aug. Second - Cody just got a job as a substitute teacher for the entire Madison School District and has to check his email every morning to look for openings. And in general - we're pretty out of the loop for internet and find ourselves driving up to campus everyday to just check email or job searching, ect. So we got a pretty cool internet service and set it up today!!! :) YES! thats all for now :) i'll write more details about Cody's new job!! :)

Blog Stalking
I've discovered the blog addiction. Its great :) I LOVE reading everyones blogs :) I laugh at so much stuff and I ponder about a lot of things too. I love getting a whif of peoples personalities in their writing and their experiences. I know the coolest, most real people ever. :) Sometimes I cry just reading some of the blogs because they're just so beautiful!!! I really miss having internet at my house, and if I did have it... I would be reading blogs all the time :) I can't wait to get more addresses of peoples blogs to read more!!!

I caved in
Well since i've read the Harry potter books....twice......which isn't that much I guess. But i've seen it more than that. I decided I would try Twilight. Well...now i'm on Eclipse. And Cody and I went on a date to see Twilight the movie at the cheap theater. We liked it :) I still like Harry Potter more.....but Twilight is pretty good. It is for sure a dramatic teenager book. But I like the romance in it. Cody and I read it together sometimes which is fun. I was just thinking the other day how awesome it is to be able to read just for fun. I hope this semester Cody will get to read lots of good relaxing books. We started to listen to one of the Star war books last night. Its pretty funny because Chewy is in it and you hear his little howl growl thing.....and at the action parts of the book there is starwars music. Its pretty hallarious. Cody wanted us to go to sleep listening to it, but I couldn't stop laughing because of it. Its a good book though. I can picture what is going on with its descriptions. Anyway....I'm still working on Eclipse. This still doesn't make up for the pushed back movie date of Harry Potter!
